Mega Millions Jackpot Closes In On Half A Billion Dollars
Friday's drawing, at $480 million, with a projected one-time payout of $276M, before taxes, is expected to be the 10th largest in history.

CONCORD, NH — The Mega Millions drawing for Friday is expected to deliver the 10th highest jackpot in the history of the game, if anyone hits it, lottery officials said.
The drawing was expected to reach $480 million by Friday. The one-time cash payout, before taxes, should be around $276 million. There has not been a winner for the biweekly game since mid-April.
“We are thrilled to see this Mega Millions jackpot quickly nearing the half-a-billion-dollar mark — $480 million is a life-changing amount of money,” Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the lottery, said. “This growing jackpot presents a fantastic opportunity for our players and for our retailers statewide, who are already reporting a significant increase in sales activity. Best of luck to our players — we’ll be rooting for you in Friday night’s drawing.”
