Mega Millions Jackpot To Hit $565 Million On Tuesday

​The NH Lottery says the one-time cash payout if anyone wins the 6th largest Mega Millions jackpot will be close to $300M before taxes.

CONCORD, NH — Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot, if anyone hits it, is expected to be $565 million, or the sixth-largest Mega Millions jackpot in the game's history.

The one-time payout, before taxes, will increase to $293.6 million, Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery, said.

The approximate odds of winning are 1 in 302,575,350.

“Winning $565 million sounds like a pretty amazing way to ring in the New Year,” he said. “We love that our players have this incredible opportunity to win a life-changing prize right in the middle of the holiday season. The excitement level is rising, and our retailers are reporting strong sales. There’s still time to get in on the action in advance of tomorrow’s drawing.”

The largest Mega Millions jackpot on record was $1.537 billion, which was won on Oct. 23, 2018. The anticipated $565 million Mega Millions jackpot has been growing since Oct. 14, when lucky players in California and Florida split a $494 million jackpot prize.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. Tickets are on sale at more than 1,200 retailers statewide and online at NH iLottery.
