CONCORD, NH — Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is expected to reach the 7th highest jackpot in history, according to lottery officials.

The jackpot is anticipated to be around $800 million since no one has won it since early June, when a player in Illinois won the $552 million jackpot. Since then, there have been 27 consecutive drawings without a winner.

The one-time cash payout should increase to nearly $402 million before taxes.

Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery, said sales have ticked up since a lucky player purchased a $1 million ticket during Friday’s drawing at the Common Man Welcome Center in Hooksett, on the southbound side of Interstate 93.

“It’s hard to imagine something you couldn’t buy with tomorrow night’s $800 million jackpot,” he said. “The only way to turn that dream into reality? Get your tickets today.”
