Melee On Depot Street Investigated By Concord Police: Watch
Three were taken to the hospital, one with a large gash to the head; witnesses said a gun threat may have been made; men fled the area.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a melee on Depot Street involving several people that led to at least three being sent to the hospital, including a woman with a large gash to her head, early Sunday morning.
Around 12:45 a.m., police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the area outside of Castro’s and Cheers for a report of a fight, between as many as 10 people, with a firearm involved, dispatch said. The caller reported at least one person on the ground in the middle of the street, according to the caller.
Dispatch told officers a minute later, after gathering more information, the witness claimed hearing someone say they were going to shoot a woman, and gunshots were heard, too. Two people were still at the scene, the dispatcher said.

An officer confirmed a woman was unconscious and, on the ground, with a large gash to her head. A second person was also down, so another ambulance was requested. The EMTs were asked to access the scene from Low Avenue.
Witnesses reported three men, described as Hispanic, fleeing the scene, southbound, down South Main Street.
Other officers began searching Storrs and South Main streets for the suspects. New Hampshire State Police also arrived at the area.
One officer asked for backup about five minutes later and reported being out with “three very uncooperative” people.
“They don’t want to tell me anything,” the officer said.
Around 1 a.m., the battalion fire chief at the scene called for a third ambulance to come to Storrs Street after finding another victim.
Other men were also questioned outside of the Best Western on Hall Street.
Police ran identification on people from New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Ohio. Three people were taken by ambulance to Concord Hospital.
Officers learned later the situation may have started at Tandy’s Top Shelf, so they headed over to Eagle Square to expand the investigation, according to scanner chatter.
Police were also sent to the Comfort Inn to investigate a woman who may have been involved in the incident.
NES 603 posted a video earlier this morning on Facebook.
Concord police were still at the scene around 1 p.m. investigating.
