Merrimack Valley Student Helping Concord Family
Brandon Richardson is running from Canada to the Massachusetts border to raise money for the Snowden family.

A local high school student is raising money to help a Concord family by running across the state, according to a report on WMUR-TV.
James Snowden of Concord, who is 6, has cerebral palsy, and his family can’t afford some of large expenses he needs, such as a specialized minivan. So Brandon Richardson, a Merrimack Valley High School senior, set up a gofundme.com site and pledged to run from New Hampshire’s border with Canada to its border with Massachusetts, in order to raise $10,000 for the family. He started the trek on Nov. 15, and is expected to reach Massachusetts on Monday night or Tuesday morning.
So far, as of 2 p.m. on Nov. 18, Richardson has raised nearly $6,000 for the family from a little less than 100 people.
