Merry Christmas, New Hampshire Tri-State Megabucks Player

A lucky winner, who bought a ticket at the Circle K in Northwood, won $1.825 million on Wednesday.

CONCORD, NH — Needless to say, the holidays are going to be a bit merrier this season for one lucky Tri-State Megabucks player in New Hampshire.

On Wednesday, a player who purchased a ticket at the Circle K on the 1st NH Turnpike in Northwood won $1.825 million. According to the lottery, the player can either take a one-time cash payout, estimated to be about $1.3 million before taxes, or 30 annual graduated annuity payments.

“Excitement has been running high since Wednesday night because New Hampshire has another Megabucks winner,” Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery. “Tri-State Megabucks is a longtime favorite of our players and we are thrilled to have another jackpot winner. Congratulations to the lucky winner and thank you to everyone who played.”

The store will receive $18,250.

This is the first Tri-State Megabucks winner since June 2019 when a player purchased a winning $2.4 million ticket at Hannaford in Manchester. That prize was claimed by the Houdini Trust of 2019, Portsmouth, NH, according to officials.

Tri-State Megabucks tickets have been sold in New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont since 1985. All three states also share Tri-State Gimme 5, Pick 3, Pick 4, and Fast Play games, according to officials.

More than $2.3 billion in lottery profits have been used to fund schools in the state.
