Messy End To Weekend As Snow Arrives In NH Sunday Morning

Snow will likely change to rain in the afternoon with minor accumulations expected.

CONCORD -- A messy end to the weekend could be in store for much of New Hampshire with snow turning to rain in the southern parts of the state and higher accumulations to the north.

The National Weather Service has forecast a widespread area of two to three inches of snow from Nashua to Concord, and along the coastline in Hampton and Portsmouth. Up to five inches is predicted for north of the Lakes Region along the Maine border.

The NWS forecasts accumulating snow to begin Sunday morning and spread across the state before possibly turning to drizzle later in the afternoon. Clearing is forecast for after midnight.
