Meteor Flies Through New Hampshire Skies
Hundreds of people reported seeing the fireball streak across the night sky late last night. Did you catch it?

Hundreds of witnesses, including dozens from New Hampshire, reported seeing a meteor streak across the Northeast sky late Wednesday night. The American Meteor Society said 205 reported seeing the fireball shortly after 11 p.m.
The reports came from most from Southern New Hampshire. Most said it was visible for just two or three seconds. Reports also came in from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and other states in the northeastern part of the country.
Gerry Bourgeois, a realtor from Leominster, MA, said he saw the meteor tear through the night sky. He took a peek at his security camera, which captured the event, and shared what might be the best available look at it.

The summer meteor showers are revving up. The Delta Aquarid meteor shower is in full effect, though tough to catch up north. The highly anticipated Perseid meteor shower also just started. The two showers overlap in early August.
