Michelle Obama Coming to Concord

She'll visit the city Friday to talk about her "Let's Move!" initiative.

First Lady Michelle Obama will be in Concord on Friday to promote her "Let's Move!" initiative to battle child obesity.

At 2:45 p.m., she will visit the Penacook Community Center, a neighborhood nonprofit organization that offers community programs to foster healthy eating and active living for all ages, the White House announced on Tuesday.

The First Lady is visiting Concord to highlight an example of a collaborative community effort to promote health and wellness, good nutrition and physical activity, the White House said in a statement. She will be joined by New Hampshire First Lady Dr. Susan Lynch, who is also an advocate for healthy eating habits and regular exercise.

Michelle Obama's visit comes just a week after President Obama was in New Hampshire for . The Obama campaign has made New Hampshire a focus this year, as it is seen as a key swing state in the 2012 presidential election.
