Midnight Merriment Features Plenty Of Fun Friday In Downtown Concord

Intown Concord's 29th annual event runs from 5 p.m. to midnight with music, dancing, shopping, gift wrapping, and Santa, too.

CONCORD, NH — Friday will be the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season as Downtown Concord will be filled with festivities for Midnight Merriment.

For the 29th year, Intown Concord is organizing the event, with just about anything for everyone, from 5 p.m. to midnight. Santa will be on hand for photos with families, while Nazzy will be filling the Statehouse city plaza with music. Strolling carolers, holiday music, s’mores, complimentary gift wrapping, and hot cocoa will be available downtown, according to the org.

Many shops and eateries will be open late, offering discounts, quick bite options, promotions, and more.

Xfinity will sponsor a trolley to drive shoppers to stops on Storrs Street and Main Street between 6 and 11 p.m. Free parking will be available at lots owned by Steve Duprey across from the Granite Group on the southern end of Storrs Street and Concord Antiques on the northern end of the street, as well as the lot across from the Holiday Inn.
