A Mixed Early September Weather Weekend For New Hampshire

The National Weather Service expects rain in the Granite State bracketed by days with sunny skies.

CONCORD, NH — Weather forecasters are calling for mixed weather this weekend as summer transitions into autumn.

Expect sunny skies, with highs in the upper 70s on Thursday, with a light wind, to the south, of 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Temperatures will be slightly lower on the Seacoast. Patchy fog will occur in the evening and temps will drop down into the lower 50s.

After fog in the morning Friday, expect sunny skies with highs in the mid-70s, with an east wind of 5 to 10 mph during the afternoon. Expect lower temperatures on the Seacoast. Clouds roll in during the evening and temps will be in the mid-50s.

Forecasters said there will be a 30 percent chance of showers on Saturday afternoon, with temps in the lower 70s. On the Seacoast, expect partly sunny skies. The rain will continue during the evening across southern New Hampshire.

Expect similar weather on Sunday: Showers in the morning and temps in the 70s but sunny skies on the coast. It will be partly sunny for most of the day. Overnight lows will be in the upper 40s.

Expect sunny skies on Monday and Tuesday.
