Monitor Tells Readers It Plans To Continue Printing In Concord
Note on company website says report that "press leaving Concord is not true" even if that is not what Patch reported.

CONCORD, NH — The Concord Monitor has posted on a note on its website stating that it is not planning to shut down its Concord printing operations and move to West Lebanon. In a post online entitled, “Note to readers: Report that Monitor press leaving Concord is not true,” the company said that its business was doing well and it plans to stay in the city.
“On Friday evening, Patch.com posted a story citing unnamed sources that indicated the Concord Monitor was planning to shut down its Concord printing operations and shift production to a sister publication in West Lebanon, N.H," the note stated. "That is not true. Commercial printing is doing extremely well and is a profitable part of our business. The Monitor plans to continue to print in Concord.”

The story never stated that the company was moving out of Concord; the story said the company was considering moving out of the city. It cited both named and unnamed sources who had also heard the rumor about the move and that the building was for sale or would be put up for sale as well as unnamed sources that confirmed the specifics of the move plan.
Not unlike the Monitor, Patch doesn’t reveal information about sourcing. But we stand by this story and the numerous sources who shared the information with us during the last three months.
