Power Restored in Concord

Unitil crews work to repair downed line on Pleasant Street.

Update, 3:05 p.m. Power has been completely restored in Concord.

Update, 2:45 p.m. Concord Police are reporting that Unitil crews expect to have power restored in 5 or 10 minutes, per scanner chatter.

Update, 2:19 p.m. Unitil is asking people on Twitter to try and stay away from Pleasant Street while it fixes a downed wire.

Update, 2:17 p.m. Concord Police are being sent to the area around Concord Hospital to assist with traffic while Unitil crews begin to restore power to the western part of the city. Currently, about 770 customers are without power.

Unitil is reporting a power outage right now primarily centered around the central part of the city. Most of the west side, according to police, is without power, including Concord High School and a number of intersections around the school.

On its outage map, Unitil is reporting more than 1,000 customers are without power, with a restoration time of between 2 and 4 p.m.

On Twitter, the company reported it was sending crews to correct the problem a few minutes ago. A number of residents around the city are reporting that the outage occurred about 20 minutes ago.
