More Than 2,000 Without Power In Concord, Capital Region
Update: Unitil reported an outage of its customers in Concord, Boscawen, and Webster on Friday. Power has been restored.

Update: Power has been restored to all but a handful of homes in Concord.
CONCORD, NH — A power outage was reported in the western and northern parts of Concord on Friday.
According to the Unitil outage map, more than 2,000 electricity customers in Concord lost power just before 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The company reported dozens of its customers in Boscawen and Webster were without power.

The company said it would have power restored in Concord and Webster by 6:30 p.m. Boscawen will be restored around 5:30 p.m.
Before 3 p.m., wires were reported down on Village Street in Penacook, between Abbott Road and Beede Drive. According to scanner chatter, a Concord police officer patrolling the area reported sparks from a transformer by 75 Village St. a little past 3 p.m. Dispatch then called fire, and Unitil was called.

The bulk of the outages, about 650, were reported in the area of Coral Street in Penacook.
Lights were also flickering repeatedly in the West End, but most customers in that part of the city still had power.
