More than 2,200 Without Power in Concord

UPDATE: Tree limb causes power outage in the northern part of the city. Power has been restored.

Update, 2:24 p.m. on Jan. 18, 2017: Power has been restored in Concord. Unitil noted on Twitter that the outage was caused by a tree limb.

CONCORD, NH — More than 2,200 Unitil electric customers are without power at this hour, according to posts online and tips to Patch. At just before 1:45 p.m. on Jan. 18, 2017, a number of residents in the northern part of the city reported hearing a bang in the area of Manor Road and Borough Road.

At 1:50 p.m., Unitil was reporting 2,260 customers, more than 10 percent of the city, are without power in Concord and a single customer in Boscawen without power.

Concord Fire and Rescue teams are at the scene of the issue along with Unitil workers. Concord Police are reporting numerous traffic lights along Fisherville Road that are out as well.
