Here's what's going on in Concord today.

- Highs near 80? If the National Weather Service is correct, yes. Forecasters are calling for morning fog but sunny skies later, with temps in the high 70s. Overnight lows drop down into the 40s. The NWS also has a “hazardous weather outlook” through Tuesday for Merrimack County with “an elevated fire potential” across the region.

- Preservation Awards. The New Hampshire Preservation Alliance will offer its 2013 awards at 4:30 p.m. at the Concord City Auditorium. Come and hear about all the great preservation projects from the last year.
- From Slavery to Civil Rights. Musician Roger Tincknell shares the inspiring story of African-American history through folk music and storytelling at 6:30 p.m. at the Dunbarton Congregational Church. The event is free.
- Other stuff. The Green Street Community Center offers open gym at 11:45 a.m. for adults 18-plus. Rob Wolfe plays Hermanos at 6:30 p.m. The Barley House hosts a traditional Irish session at 7 p.m. At 8 p.m., Uno’s has trivia in the bar.
