More Nice Weather Plus 'Inocente' Shown at NHTI
Here's what's going on in Concord today.
- More sun. Expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the low 70s. Overnight lows will drop down into the mid-30s.
- ‘Inocente’ documentary. “Inocente,” a documentary about a young artist who is homeless, will be shown at 5 p.m. at Grappone Hall at NHTI. The 2012 Teacher of the Year, Heidi Welch, who was also once homeless, will also speak at the event. The showing is free but donations for the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness will be accepted.
- Passion services. Passion services for Eastern Orthodox will start at 6:30 p.m. today at the Dormition of The Theotokos Orthodox Church at 6:30 p.m.
- Meet Henriette Lazardis Power. Author Henriette Lazardis Power will speak about her debut novel, “The Clover House,” at Gibson’s Bookstore at 7 p.m.
- Other stuff. The Kamer Blue Toastmasters meets at the NH DES office at 5 p.m. The Loudon Lions Club hosts the Angels 5K race and fitness walk at 6 p.m. at Merrimack Valley High School. Joe Gattuso plays Hermanos at 6:30 p.m.
