More Snow Coming To New Hampshire This Weekend: 6 To 8 Inches Expected

NWS forecasters are calling for more snow in most of central and southern New Hampshire between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

CONCORD, NH — More snow is expected in New Hampshire this weekend, according to weather forecasters.

A “winter storm watch” was issued Friday morning by the National Weather Service, warning of 6 to 8 inches of snow between Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. The snow, forecasters said, was expected to be heavy and more than 6 inches.

“Periods of moderate and heavy snow will combine with low visibility to create dangerous driving conditions,” the alert at 2:30 a.m. on Friday stated.

A second alert around 8:30 a.m. warned of gusty winds on Friday and noted snow for Saturday.

“Another round of steady, accumulating snow is expected Saturday night into Sunday, producing slick driving conditions,” the alert stated. “(The) greatest amounts will be focused on southern locations of NH and ME.”

The latest forecast called for between 3 to 5 inches of snow in Concord and the capital region on Saturday night, with an additional 1 to 3 inches on Sunday before 1 p.m. In Nashua, western and central Hillsborough County, and inland Rockingham County, anywhere from 3 to 7 inches is expected Saturday night and another 1 to 3 inches before early afternoon. On the Seacoast, 3 to 5 inches are expected during the evening and another 2 to 4 inches on Sunday.
