After the first few community events, Mosaic 250 (presented by Lincoln Financial Group) is off to a great start! We had a great debut during the Concord 250 kickoff event on June 6 and did our first Concord Arts Market the following day. Then, what a whirlwind of a weekend June 20-22 was for us, not to mention, a truly great weekend for Concord! We started the weekend at Midsummer Night Magic and then spent the following two days at the Granite State Music Festival.
Next stop – Market Days! This year marks the 40th anniversary of the 3 day festival in Downtown Concord. Mosaic 250 will be located on the State House lawn each day from 10am-2pm as part of Free Family Fun. The first panel, which features the famed Concord Coach and other New Hampshire imagery, is just about completed so we will be beginning a brand new panel with more symbols of Concord and New Hampshire. Which one will it be? Even I don’t know! We’ll have to wait until next Thursday, July 17 to see!
We are still seeking sponsors and financial support to keep the project going. This is a great opportunity to participate in a piece of history that will live on in the Concord community for many years. During its tenure as public art, the mosaic will serve as a focal point in the City and its legacy will live on as subsequent City anniversary celebrations occur.
