Motorcyclist Taken To Concord Hospital After Crash In Penacook: Watch
Police are investigating the cause of a crash at Community Drive and Summer Street, which sent one to the hospital on Thursday.
CONCORD, NH — A motorcycle rider was taken to Concord Hospital after a crash in Penacook on Thursday.
Around 5:45 p.m., Concord police, and fire and rescue teams, were sent to Community Drive and Summer Street in Penacook for a crash between an SUV and a motorcycle. Capital region fire dispatch reported the biker was down and he was having difficulty breathing. Police dispatch also confirmed the rider, according to a 911 caller, “was not doing well.”
Firefighters arrived a few minutes later and confirmed the rider was down in the middle of the street after the motorcycle collided with a Nissan Rogue. Officers confirmed the Yamaha motorcycle rider had a severe head injury and closed off both streets.

The fire commander asked whether EMTs on the paramedic level were coming. Dispatch said they were on their way, but they were advanced. Command requested a medic team, and dispatch sent a second ambulance.
A few minutes later, the fire command said Concord Hospital needed to be alerted that a biker, who was not wearing a helmet and had head trauma, was being prepped to be transported.

The second ambulance was canceled, and the first ambulance took the man to the hospital.
