Concord Fire and Rescue teams transport many to area hospitals.
A multi-car crash at the intersection of Route 106 and the entrance to Walmart landed a number of people in the hospital and caused a massive Friday night traffic jam on the Concord Heights.
Concord Fire Battalion Chief Ken Folsom said at the scene that at least three vehicles were involved in the crash. Five people were transported to Concord and Elliot hospitals.
At the scene, two cars were badly damaged at the mouth of the entrance intersection with a pickup truck – with front-end damage – off a side embankment, parked into some trees. It is unknown if any other vehicles were involved in the accident.
