1 Person Sent To The Hospital After Crash Closes Route 3A In Hooksett: Watch

Route 3A at Riverside Street was shut down for about 45 minutes after a two-car accident on Saturday; 1 person was taken to the hospital.

HOOKSETT, NH — Police and firefighters were called to West River Road by Riverside Street in Hooksett on Saturday for a motor vehicle accident.

Around 10 p.m., dispatchers began receiving reports about a crash in the area. Initially, capital region dispatch reported they were hearing the accident was a T-bone or head-on crash.

Hooksett firefighters arrived and requested police to close the road, citing two cars with heavy damage and multiple patients still in the vehicles. The road was shut down around 10:15 p.m. The fire commander reported one person was being taken to the hospital. Three other people were examined and refused transportation.

As EMTs headed to the hospital, firefighters stayed at the scene to assist the police.

The road was reopened around 11:15 p.m.
