Multiple Patients Sent To Concord Hospital After Crash On Route 106 In Loudon

Update: Loudon, Chichester firefighters and EMTs as well as Loudon police were sent to a crash on Route 106 near Hollow Root Road on Sunday.

LOUDON, NH — Loudon firefighters on Route 106 near Hollow Root Road came across what they believed to be a head-on crash on Sunday.

The fire commander told dispatch just past 2:30 p.m. that they saw a car with heavy damage and possible entrapment and were stopping to investigate. The fire commander immediately requested EMTs. The crash was on the northbound side of the highway.

The vehicle crashed into the highway's barricade. The commander later confirmed entrapment, said there were four patients, and more ambulances would be needed. The roof of the Mazda 3 sedan was taken off by firefighters to free the driver from the vehicle.

Chichester EMTs and firefighters were then sent for mutual aid to assist. They were advised to park north of the accident scene.

The commander said there were one Status 2 and three Status 3 patients. Loudon EMTs took the first patient to Concord Hospital while others arrived to transport more patients.

Patch has since learned that all four victims were treated and released.
