National Work Zone Awareness Week

Wear orange on Wednesday, April 5th to support work zone safety!

American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) is hosting its annual National Work Zone Awareness Week, April 3-7, 2017, to encourage safety for drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists through work zones. Concord General Services is joining the campaign to remind Concord commuters to please use caution in work zones for everyone’s safety.

Concord General Services work crews use approved signs for work zones and it is very important for drivers, cyclists, motorists, and pedestrians to slow down, be alert, and adhere to the signage and the flag person when entering a work zone so that everyone, including crews, remain safe. Being a courteous road user is always a good practice.

Wear orange on Wednesday, April 5th for “Go Orange Day” to show your support of work zone safety! Concord General Services will be wearing orange and will share a picture on Facebook and Twitter to show their support! Share your pictures with ATSSA and Concord General Services on social media by using the hashtags #OrangeForSafety and #NWZAW.
