Nearly 2,500 Without Power In Concord, Capital Region

Update: Unitil and Eversource customers in the West End of Concord, Canterbury, and Loudon are without power on Saturday.

CONCORD, NH — Power it is out to nearly 1,100 Unitil customers in the West End of Concord as well as another 1,400 in Canterbury and Loudon on Saturday.

At around 7:45 p.m., residents began to report outages in Concord. The outages were centered in the area between White Park and Fisk Road. The company is still assessing restoration times.

Eversource is also reporting nearly 1,800 without power in the state including more than 900 in Loudon and almost 500 in Canterbury. Fewer than five Concord Eversource customers are also out.

It is unknown why the power is out. Neither capital region dispatch nor police dispatch has reported any accidents in the city.

Blustery winds have been occurring in Concord. The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory around 5:30 p.m. running through 5 a.m. on Sunday warning of winds between 15 to 25 mph with gusts of up to 45 mph.

Two Unitil customers are without power in Canterbury but those outages are not connected to the Concord outages.
