Neighborhood Meeting Set For Concord Heights Sewer Upgrades

CONCORD, NH — City residents will have a chance to learn more about a major sewer project in the Concord Heights area at a public meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 29, at the City Wide Community Center, 14 Canterbury Road.

According to the city, the meeting will provide an overview and a question-and-answer session for the upcoming Heights Sewer Collection Improvements project. The purpose of the project is to construct improvements to the sanitary sewer system serving the Concord Heights area.

The work is expected to include replacing about 6,500 feet of gravity sewer. According to the project description, that portion also includes replacing sewer services up to the edge of the city right-of-way and adding new sewer cleanouts for all services. The project will also include the replacement of about 3,000 feet of sewer force main from the sewer pump station adjacent to D’Amante Drive.

The city said sewer work will take place along Grover Street for its entire length, along Pembroke Road from Grover Street to Branch Turnpike, along Branch Turnpike for its entire length, and along Loudon Road from Branch Turnpike to D’Amante Drive. The project focuses on underground utility infrastructure in a residential area, giving nearby households a chance to hear details before construction begins.

According to the city, S.U.R. Construction West has been retained as the contractor for the project. Construction is anticipated to begin in mid-July, according to the announcement, and is expected to be substantially complete by spring 2028.
