New Americans Got Talent Show

Supporting and Empowering New American Youth

CONCORD, NH – Overcomers Refugee Services and Project S.T.O.R.Y. are pleased to announce New Americans Got Talent Show. On Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, New American youth from Concord will showcase their talents at the Bank of NH Stage in downtown Concord.

“Doing things we love creates happiness and purpose,” said Clement Kigugu, Executive Director of Overcomers Refugee Services. “It’s our goal with this event to encourage refugee youth to embrace their talents and realize their potential, so they feel confident to pursue their dreams and find success in life.“

The performers range in age from 7 to 20 years old and will be presenting an array of talents including musical performances, dancing, athletics, cup stacking, and public speaking.

New Americans Got Talent Show is being organized as a partnership between Overcomers Services and Project S.T.O.R.Y., to support and empower New American (refugee) youth in Concord. The event will open with guest speakers who will address the youth with motivation and encouragement.

“This talent show is important to me and the kids because the kids get a chance to show their talents and perform,” said Fred Nshimiyimana, a member of Project S.T.O.R.Y. “I think that’s really great because here in America, a lot of refugee kids haven't had the chance to show off their skills and talents, so this will be a really great experience and opportunity for them.”
