New Bus Times Start Today
Concord Area Transit making changes to Crosstown Route, schedule to improve service, cover more ground.
It’s official.
After public hearings, meetings with the community, and a full analysis of all the routes it currently services, a new schedule and service routes for Concord Area Transit are now underway, beginning today.
Mobility Manager Terri Paige, of the Community Action Program, Belknap-Merrimack Counties, Inc., the nonprofit that runs the transportation service, said that time schedules had changed on all three routes. The service changes are only on the Crosstown route, which runs from Industrial Park Drive to South Fruit Street, stopping at various locations along the way, and then back to Industrial Park Drive.

The changes were made to accommodate the loss of the separate trolley service running from NHTI to Downtown Concord. The trolleys are still in service but just not running on their own route. The NHTI stops were added to the Crosstown stops nearly two years ago.
New CAT maps and schedules can be picked up on the buses, at CAT locations, and downloaded on the post and the CAT website: concordareatransit.org.
