CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Lottery has shut down its website after a cyberattack on Friday.

Specifics about the attack were not known or being released, but online reports said that pop-up messages on the website were affecting customers. Sales in stores are not affected by the shutdown, officials told Patch.

“The Lottery team and our technical partners are investigating the nature of the attack and are working to make sure our website is secure,” the lottery said. “We have temporarily taken the New Hampshire Lottery website offline in an abundance of caution as we work through these security issues.”
