New Hampshire State Police Investigating Fatal Crash On I-89

State troopers are asking for the public's help after an SUV veered off the Interstate in Enfield Thursday.

CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a fatal single-vehicle crash on I-89 Thursday. Troopers from Troop D responded to the crash in Enfield at just after 7:30 p.m. The vehicle in question, an SUV, "appeared to be traveling in the high-speed lane, when it veered to its left, and into the grassy median," according to Sgt. Gregg De Luca.

"Once in the grassy median the vehicle struck a guardrail located on the left side of the roadway," De Luca said. "The vehicle then reentered the roadway and came to its final rest across both lanes of travel."

The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Interstate was shut down for a period of time and the crash is still under investigation. The name of the victim has not be released due to lack of family notification.
