New Hampshire Wrestlers Compete In 2023 Castleton Fall Classic
Concord, Amherst, Nashua, Milford, Salem, and other competitors spent Sunday in Vermont wrestling wrestlers from New England, New York.
CASTLETON, VT — Dozens of wrestlers from the Granite State competed in the 2023 Castleton Fall Classic at Castleton University in Vermont.
K-8 wrestlers started the day off, while high schoolers competed later in the day.
For the middle school wrestlers, Con-Val placed seventh with 16 points and Mindset Wrestling of Amherst placed 11th with 12 points.

In the high school rankings, the Blue Devil Wrestling Club of Salem placed 6th with 57 points, Keene placed 10th with 46 points, Concord had 43 points and placed 11th, Smitty’s Barn placed 15th with 33 points, and Mindset Wrestling had 30 points coming in 17th.
In the middle school brackets, Calix Lajoie of Mindset placed second.

In the high school brackets, Jack Kaler placed third for Mindset, Evan Lynch placed first for the Blue Devils, Ian Spencer placed second for Keene, and Spencer Buscema placed first for Blue Devils and Leo Runez placed third in their weight class. Nicholas Chenard came in second for Smitty’s and Hunter Richard placed third for Concord in their weight class. Kyle Lajoie of Milford placed third for Mindset, Dominic Schinella placed third for Concord, Carter Spencer of Keene placed first, and Owen Gregg of Concord placed fourth in their weight classes. Jeremy Richard of Concord placed fourth in his weight class. Jaxon Carter of Concord placed first, while Benjamin Byrne of Nashua placed fourth in their weight classes. Silas Runez of Keene placed third, Cameron Monahan of Blue Devils placed first, Jack Foster of Smitty’s placed third, and Evan O’Connell of Milford wrestling for Mindset placed second in their weight classes. Lance Bordeleau of Hooksett, who wrestles with the Doughboys, placed first in his weight class. Austin Freire of Concord placed third in his weight class, while Vince Bilotti of Smitty’s placed second. Madison Beauregard of Concord also placed fourth. Brody McDonald of Salem also won two matches.
