New London Man Arrested in Gun, Road Rage Incident
NHSP pursue Alexander Stevens on I-89 after he allegedly shot at another vehicle on I-93 in Manchester.

Three sets of spike strips laid out by New Hampshire State Troopers were unable to stop a New London man who was allegedly involved in an early morning road rage incident.
Alexander Stevens, 52, of New London, was arrested on Feb. 1, 2015, and charged with reckless conduct, criminal threatening, disobeying a police officer, resisting arrest, operating after a suspension, and possession of a narcotic drug.
According to police, at around 7:15 a.m., troopers received a report from a motorist that while driving on I-93 in Manchester, a man driving a red Saab station wagon shot a gun at him.

Troopers later located the Saab on I-89 in Concord and attempted to pull it over but the driver refused. A pursuit ensued, according to police, along I-89 into New London, where the vehicle got off the highway and later stopped at a local home.
“At the time of his arrival, three of the suspect’s tires were deflated from three different sets of spike strips that were laid out along the pursuit’s path,” according to Sgt. Maurice Sampson.

The man, later identified as Stevens, allegedly ran into his house and refused to come out. A perimeter was set up and the troopers attempted to communicate with Stevens. He later came out and was arrested.
Stevens is being held on $15,000 cash bail and will be arraigned in Concord District Court on Feb. 2.
