New York Man Arrested For DWI Hit-And-Run Crash
Eric Fehrenbach allegedly "became violent" this morning on West River Road in Hooksett after allegedly fleeing a crash scene.

HOOKSETT, NH — A New York man was arrested this morning on drunk driving and other charges after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash in Hooksett, according to police. Eric Fehrenbach, 27, of Keeseville, NY, was arrested on Nov. 20, 2017, for driving while intoxicated, criminal threatening, and criminal mischief. At around 1 a.m., officers were sent to a report of a hit-and-run crash on West River Road near the truck inspection station, according to Sgt. Mike Auger of the Hooksett Police Department.

“A vehicle matching the reported involved vehicle was located travelling south on West River Road near the Manchester- Hooksett line,” he noted.

The driver – Fehrenbach – was stopped and the officer alleged that he smelled like alcohol. He allegedly admitted to drinking earlier. After a field sobriety test, he was arrested.
“Fehrenbach became violent once he was placed in the cruiser for transport and was ultimately transported to Merrimack County Jail,” Auger alleged.

Fehrenbach was scheduled to be arraigned earlier today.
