Newport Woman Faces Felony, Other Drug Charges

Nearly two years after driving arrest, Cassandra Henriksen faces follow-up drug charges.

A local woman who was arrested nearly two years ago after a traffic stop on North State Street is facing drug charges.

Cassandra Henriksen, 25, of Newport, was arrested at 3:45 p.m. on Feb. 21, and charged with possession of controlled drugs, a felony, and possession of drugs.

The charges stem from an alleged incident at North State and Penacook streets on April 2, 2012. At around 6 p.m. that evening, she was stopped and arrested on suspended registration (operating-misd), driving after revocation or suspension, and drivers license prohibitions charges.
