NH AG's Office, Hooksett Police Investigating Suspicious Death
The suspicious death of a man on Main Street in Hooksett near Donati Park on Sunday is being investigated by state and local police.

HOOKSETT, NH — The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office is investigating a suspicious death in Hooksett.
Limited information is available about the case, but just after midnight, Hooksett fire and rescue teams were sent to the area of 64 Main St. for a report of a “subject down in the roadway.” Police dispatch was also told a man was down on the road, but there was confusion as to whether the man was alive or not before they arrived.
“Are you saying there is a male deceased in the road or laying in the road?,” an officer asked.

“Start fire,” the officer said.
“They are already en route,” dispatch told the officer.
A witness reported a suspect fled from the area. The suspect was described as wearing a black hat, black clothing, and carrying an Under Armor black backpack.
When the first firefighters arrived, they requested a trauma alert at Elliot Hospital and additional units. At just before 12:30 a.m., the patient arrived at the hospital and died later.
Police dispatch reported a person matching the suspect's description was found in the area of Hackett Hill Road and Route 3A at around 12:30 a.m.
Around 1:30 a.m., police closed Main Street from Route 3 to Merrimack Street and told media outlets there was no threat or public concern. Sgt. D. Byers added the street would be closed for an unknown amount of time.
Michael Garrity, the director of communications for the department, said as part of the suspicious death investigation, around 7:30 a.m., “all parties involved have been identified, and there is no threat to the general public.” More information will be released later, he said.
“Due to the ongoing investigation, members of the public wishing to access Donati Park today will have to access the park from the north, as the Hooksett Road intersection with Main Street will be impacted by the investigation,” Garrity said.
Concord NH Patch will update this post when more information becomes available.
