“Hermonat is on parole from an underlying conviction of assault by prisoner, where he caused serious bodily injury to his victim,” investigators said in an alert. “Hermonat also has a prior charge of assault on staff at the NH State Prison and a robbery charge.”
Hermonat, officials said, had “extensive ties” to the Carroll County area, his last known address, but also might be living in the Adams County area of Colorado.

“Hermonat has a history of violence and illicit drug use,” investigators said, adding a “violent tendencies” warning to his alert.
Hermonat was charged with felony unarmed robbery in Rochester in July 2016, according to superior court records. According to Foster’s Daily Democrat, he robbed a gas station. He pleaded guilty to the charge in January 2017.
While in prison in Berlin in September 2017, he committed assault as a prisoner. In October 2017, he was charged with assault by a prisoner-assault by an inmate at the New Hampshire State Prison for Men in Concord. Hermonat pleaded guilty to the Concord charge in February 2019 and the Berlin charge in March 2019. His sentence on the Berlin charge was amended in November 2020.
According to Middleton police, Hermonat was wanted by corrections for violating probation for failing to turn himself in at the Strafford County Jail after being arrested on a theft charge in December 2014. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail.
Anyone with information about Hermonat was asked to call corrections at 603-271-1804 or your local police department.
