Where’s Our Justice? Where’s Our Money?

The State of New Hampshire has once again fallen short of delivering real justice. In the lawsuit involving abuse and mistreatment at the NH Youth Detention Center, survivors were led to believe that their pain, trauma, and stolen childhoods would finally be acknowledged—not just in words, but in meaningful compensation.

We were told justice would come in the form of accountability and fair restitution. Instead, the state handed out far less than what we deserve—mere fractions of what would begin to reflect the harm we've endured. Many of us believe each survivor should have received at least $2.5 million. That number isn’t just about money—it represents years of suffering, a broken system, and the failure of those who were supposed to protect us.

The State of New Hampshire is underpaying us. It’s minimizing the truth. And it’s continuing the cycle of silence by shortchanging the very people whose lives were permanently altered by that system.

We demand what is rightfully ours. We want what was promised. We want what is owed.
