NH DOE Backpack Drive A Success
Hundreds of backpacks are heading out to children in need after state employees and others donated to the third annual backpack drive.

CONCORD, NH – Hundreds of backpacks were collected by the New Hampshire Department of Education on Aug. 17, 2018, from a number of state employees for distribution to children in need around the state. This is the third year that the NH DOE has collected backpacks to be given to school nurses in time for the start of the school year. During the past two and a half weeks, employees from the NH DOE as well as the Department of Labor, Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Safety, the Attorney General’s Office, the Supreme Court, and SEIU SEA 1984 collected and purchased backpacks for the effort.
