NH Fire Marshal Investigating Death At Epsom Manufactured Home
Update: Firefighters battled a fire at the Breezy Acres Cooperative Park in Epsom on Sunday. A deceased victim was found inside later.

EPSOM, NH — State and local officials are investigating a fire at a manufactured home at a cooperative park in Epsom on Sunday that may have killed the resident of the home.
The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal announced the investigation on Monday after a fire on Breezy Acres in Epsom. At just before 8 p.m., fire and rescue teams were sent to the home for a fire.
When they arrived, "a mobile home was found to be heavily involved in fire," Shana Clark, a fire investigator, stated. Firefighters then quickly requested a second alarm.

"After the fire was extinguished, a deceased victim was located inside the structure," she said. "There were no other injuries."

The identification of the victim, and the cause and manner of death, are pending after an autopsy Tuesday. Epsom firefighters, police, and the state fire marshal's office are working to determine the origin and cause of the fire.

"State Fire Marshal Parisi wishes to remind all citizens of the importance of never smoking in or around medical oxygen and to always have working smoke alarms on each level of the home both inside and outside all sleeping areas," she added. "When a fire is detected by smoke alarms, occupants only have seconds to escape before being overcome by the effects of smoke."
