NH Fugitive of the Week Found in Minnesota
Robert Paul Gere was arrested on Friday after marshals learned he was arrested in July on brass knuckles, false name charges in Minneapolis.

CONCORD, NH — A New Hampshire man wanted for allegedly possessing methamphetamine materials and attempting to manufacture the drug was arrested last week in the state of Minnesota last week, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. Robert Paul Gere – last week’s Fugitive of the Week, who had been on the lam since July – was arrested on Sept. 9, 2016, after marshals learned that he was arrested in Minneapolis in July for allegedly possessing brass knuckles, providing a false name, and a motor vehicle violation, according to Deputy Marshal Jeffrey White.

After being arrested in Minneapolis, Gere was released on bail.

As marshals in New Hampshire were researching the case, they learned of the arrest and requested the assistance of marshals in Minnesota. Marshals in that state reportedly found Gere on Portland Avenue in Minneapolis and took him in to custody.
“Gere was transported to the federal courthouse in Minneapolis for his initial court appearance,” according to White. “Gere was ordered held pending his return to New Hampshire to face his federal narcotics charges.”

Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, the Fugitive of the Week feature has resulted in more than 6,340 arrests, according to White, including the arrest of alleged murderers, unregistered sex offenders, and others.
