CONCORD, NH — State liquor stores in the Granite State have been named one of the top retailers in the country by a national beverage and alcohol retailer magazine. Beverage Dynamics issued the New Hampshire Liquor Commission liquor and wine outlets its Top 100 Retailers Award for off-premise (supermarket chains, liquor stores, and others) retailers. The award highlights the state store's innovation, customer service, and industry knowledge, according to Joseph Mollica, the chairman of the New Hampshire Liquor Commission.

"NHLC is extremely pleased to be selected as one of the top 100 retailers in the United States," Mollica said. "Our innovation, ambition, and persistence in providing our customers with the best shopping experience possible has, and will continue to be, the driving force behind our success. We are grateful to Beverage Dynamics for recognizing this accomplishment, and for the dedication of our entire team who ensures that success is a daily achievement."

All the winners were listed in the latest edition of the magazine and awards were presented to attendees at the third annual Beverage Alcohol Retailers Conference in Louisville, Kentucky, in mid-June.

Jeremy Nedelka, the content director for the magazine, said the liquor commission joins "some of the best and brightest of the industry and deserves the recognition it's received."

The liquor commission, the magazine noted, set an all-time sales record last fiscal year of more than $707 million. Renovating and relocating more than 30 stores around the state as well expanding product selection and shopping experience were also highlighted as part of the commission's success story.
