NH Lumber, Building Supply Company Collecting Food For Those In Need
Belletetes, which has 9 stores in New Hampshire, including Pembroke and Nashua, will collect food in August; 43K+ pounds collected in 2023.
PEMBROKE, NH — Belletetes, a family-owned and operated lumber and building supply company based in New Hampshire, will once again host a month-long food drive at all 10 of its locations starting Aug. 1 in support of the New Hampshire Food Bank.
Last year, Belletetes collected 43,484 pounds of food to support the thousands of New Hampshire residents who are food insecure. Belletetes will also supplement food donations with a monetary contribution to the New Hampshire Food Bank, a program of Catholic Charities New Hampshire. Belletetes will place donation bins at the front of each store for patrons and community members to drop off donated goods.
“Last year, Belletetes made an incredible impact on the lives of those experiencing hunger in New Hampshire,” Eileen Liponis, the executive director of the New Hampshire Food Bank, said. “The New Hampshire Food Bank works to ensure all Granite Staters have access to the food and resources they need with the ultimate goal of eliminating hunger in New Hampshire and we could not do that work without dedicated community partners like Belletetes. We know this food drive will make a major positive impact on the one in 10 Granite Staters who are food insecure, meaning they do not know when or where their next meal will come from.”

“Last year, as part of our yearlong celebration commemorating our 125th year in business, we made a connection with the New Hampshire Food Bank. Millions of people in the U.S. face hunger and, here in New Hampshire, one in every 10 residents experience food insecurity and for children that number increases to one in every seven,” Mike Shea, the president of Belletetes Inc., said. “Through the support of our employees and the community we serve, we were able to donate 43,484 pounds of food last September during Hunger Action Month — the largest single-day corporate food drive donation to the Food Bank to date. This September, we look forward to another successful food drive to benefit the New Hampshire Food Bank and the more than 400 partner agencies it supports throughout the state.”
