NH Man Accused Of Threatening To Kill Vivek Ramaswamy, His Supporters In Portsmouth

Tyler Anderson of Dover was accused of texting he'd "kill everyone" attending Ramaswamy's Portsmouth event and have sex with their corpses.

CONCORD, NH — A man from Dover will be arraigned in U.S. District Court on Monday after being arrested for threatening to kill presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and his supporters, according to U.S. Attorney Jane Young said.

Tyler Anderson, 30, was arrested on a transmitting in interstate commerce a threat to injure the person of another charge. After being texted by a campaign Friday about a Portsmouth event, he was accused of texting, “Great, another opportunity for me to blow his brains out!” and “I’m going to kill everyone who attends and then f*** their corpses.” Anderson was arrested later.

Young said, if convicted, he faces up to five years in prison, three years on supervised release, and fines of up to $250,000. She said the FBI was leading the investigation and thanked the Dover and Portsmouth police departments for their “valuable assistance.”

Young did not mention the candidate who was threatened. But Ramaswamy’s campaign confirmed to Patch that he and his supporters were the targets.

“We are grateful to law enforcement for their swiftness and professionalism in handling this matter and pray for the safety of all Americans,” Stefan Mychajliw, Ramaswamy’s deputy communications director, said in an email.
