NH Mother's Day Forecast: Rain Or Shine?
You may need a back-up to your outdoor plans celebrating Mom this year.

Will Mother Nature be celebrating Mother's Day? It's up the air for New Hampshire right now.
The temperatures for Sunday are expected to be in the high 60s and mid 70s, according to the Weather Channel. That's the best weather forecasted in the next week. Unfortunately, AccuWeather's forecast is coming in about 6-8 degrees cooler - closer to the average high temperature for May 13 (69 degrees.)
AccuWeather also says there is the possibility of rain, potentially even a thunderstorm, that could wash out your outdoor plans. New Hampshire is north enough to be less at risk than Massachusetts, but Southern New Hampshire is still in the 'rain zone' below.

"The threat of rain and or a thunderstorm may discourage outdoor events and prevent restaurants from opening up outdoor seating in much of ... southern New England," the website writes.
Even if it gets wet, don't expect a repeat of last year's Mother's Day, when forecasts called for a weekend nor'easter. There was even some snow reported in parts of the state.
