NH National Guard Offer Operation Santa Claus A Hand In Concord
More than 3,000 Granite State children will have a merry Christmas due to gifts donated by retired state employees, SEA/SEIU 1984, others.
CONCORD, NH — Thousands of children in New Hampshire will have a couple gifts under the tree this Christmas thanks to retired state employees, SEA/SEIU 1984 members, and other elves and helpers.
All involved were in Concord for Operation Santa Claus Delivery Day. As they have done in past years, the New Hampshire National Guard assisted volunteers in getting the gifts out to coordinators who will deliver them to children.
For nearly 65 years, Operation Santa Claus has provided holiday joy to disadvantaged children in the state. Each year, supporters of the org commit to buying at least two gifts for each child. The packages are collected and distributed to children around the state before the holiday.
