NH Orgs Recognized for Exceptional Management Practices
Lakes Region Child Care Services and New Hampshire Children's Trust received grant awards from the NH Charitable Foundation.

Lakes Region Child Care Services and New Hampshire Children’s Trust have been named the 2015 recipients of the Excellence in Nonprofit Management Award of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, according to a press statement. Award recipients each received a $3,500 grant.
Lakes Region Child Care Services, Inc. (LRCCS) provides high-quality, accessible child care and early education services for families of the greater Lakes Region. LRCCS is the third largest Licensed-Plus child care provider in New Hampshire, offering eight programs, with child care centers in Laconia, Belmont and Plymouth.
New Hampshire Children’s Trust is a statewide community-based child abuse prevention agency that provides integral training, technical assistance, resources, evaluation and accreditation support to direct-service programs; improves systems and public policies to support healthy outcomes for children; and engages the general public, community, business, religious and parent leaders to take action toward eliminating child abuse and neglect in New Hampshire.

The Excellence in Nonprofit Management Award is given in honor of Walter J. Dunfey, a noted New Hampshire businessman, philanthropist and civic leader. The award celebrates outstanding management, skill and talent within the nonprofit sector. Awards may be given to up to two organizations each year, based on written submissions and interviews of finalists. Award recipients are selected by a review panel of business and community leaders, and were recognized at the NH Center for Nonprofit’s annual Nonprofit Leadership Summit in September.
