I just watched the WMUR Senate Forum . My take on it;
Jim Rubens is too nice a guy to be a pit bull. He made some good points but he never rattled Scott Brown.
Scott Brown will be on the defensive whenever the candidates debate because his voting record can't be denied. He was calm but I felt he came off condescending and constantly used "silly" to describe his opponents, yet he stayed Presidential. If if he can can make his celebrity status overshadow his voting record he will be tough to beat. The Brown Campaign catch phrase which Brown uttered constantly " A unified Republican party is Senator Shaheen's worst nightmare"
Bob Smith was likable and stayed on message but I think he would be better off just focusing on Brown instead of going after both candidates equally. He has some past baggage to deal with.
If I had to pick a winner I would say Smith, but Brown came out pretty unscathed. If Rubens and Smith are going to make a dent in Brown, Rubens is going to have to spend some money highlighting Browns voting record.
