NH Smokehouse Recalls Kielbasa For Possible Metal Contamination
Claremont-based North Country Smokehouse shipped vacuum-packaged kielbasa packages nationwide.

CONCORD, NH —New Hampshire-based North Country Smokehouse has recalled approximately 2,686 pounds of kielbasa products because they may be contaminated with metal. The products subject to a Class I Recall were produced Feb. 7-8 and shipped nationwide as vacuum-packed items in 12- and 16-ounce packages with “Use By” dates of April 23 and May 9.

A Class I Recall is considered a health-hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death, according to the USDA.
