New Hampshire State Police Seek Assistance IDing Dead Woman Found On Interstate 89

The woman was described as between 18 and 30 years of age with fair skin, strawberry blonde hair, blue eyes, with a bird feather tattoo.

HOPKINTON, NH — New Hampshire State Police are investigating the body of a woman found on Interstate 89 on Monday.

Around 12:15 a.m., state police and capital region fire dispatch received a report about a person on the ground in the breakdown lane of the northbound side of the highway in Hopkinton near Mile Marker 7.2. The initial call was reported as a motor vehicle accident with someone who may have been ejected. The body was later determined to be a dead woman, which Hopkinton fire and rescue teams confirmed. State police have not been able to identify her.

An alert on Monday described the woman as white, with fair skin complexion, strawberry blonde-red hair, and blue eyes. She was described as between 18 and 30 years old, about 5 feet, 1 inch tall, and weighing around 111 pounds. The woman was wearing a neon green colored fingernail and toenail polish. An alert said she also had a tattoo on the small of her back of a bird feather with birds flying out of it.

On Monday night, state police released a photo of the tattoo, which was located on the small of her back, on the left side.

An autopsy found the woman died due to blunt impact head injuries. The manner of death is still under investigation.

State police also ask the public to report any “suspicious behavior” by an individual or a motor vehicle on the northbound side of I-89 between 11:25 p.m. on Sunday and 12:15 a.m. on Monday.
