NH Teen Dies in Crash

GILFORD, NH — A New Hampshire girl lost her life this morning after an accident on Route 11A in Gilford on March 14, 2017, according to New Hampshire state Police. At around 7 a.m., Troop E troopers were called to Route 11A and Rocky Road in Gilford for a report of a crash.

When they arrived, they learned that a 16-year-old girl driving a sedan on the snowy roadway lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. The girl – who is not being identified, pending family notification – was transported to Lakes Region General Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

NHSP and Gilford Police, Staff Sgt. James Fogarty noted, were assisted at the scene by Gilford Fire and Rescue teams.
